ROSA-SALAS FLOWER is a research and consulting partnership between longtime collaborators, coauthors, and friends Marcel Rosa-Salas and Isabel Attyah Flower.

Isabel Attyah Flower is a New York City-based editor and writer. She is executive editor of Deem Journal, public discourse manager at re:arc institute, and editorial director of Foundwork. She was formerly executive editor of Cultured Magazine, associate editor of Artforum Magazine, and a writer for the creative agency Elephant.  Her work has been published by Artforum, Bookforum, The Wall Street Journal, Kaleidoscope, The New Yorker, Cultured, Garage, and Double, among other outlets and academic journals. She is cohost of the Top Rank podcast and coauthor of The Nameplate: Jewelry, Culture, and Identity (Penguin Random House, 2023).

Marcel Rosa-Salas is a cultural anthropologist, documentarian, and speaker who hails from Brooklyn, New York. She received her PhD in Anthropology from New York University, where she was a Ford Foundation Doctoral Fellow and Wenner Gren Anthropological Research Grant Awardee. She was formerly an assistant professor of marketing at the University of Illinois, Chicago and a culture marketer at Red Bull. Marcel has been invited to speak about her work at South by Southwest, Adcolor, the American Anthropological Association, the University of Cincinnati, the University of Toronto and University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She is cohost of the Top Rank podcast, coauthor of The Nameplate: Jewelry, Culture and Identity (Penguin Random House, 2023), and author of Total Market American: Race, Data and Advertising (forthcoming, Duke University Press).
